Alzheimer’s Stories is a setting of an extraordinary libretto by two-time Grammy Award winner Herschel Garfein based on recollections of chorus members and friends with relatives who’ve had the dreaded disease. It was commissioned by the Susquehanna Valley Chorale, William Payn, conductor and premiered October 9, 2009 at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. Recorded for broadcast by PBS television station WVIA, it has subsequently been performed over 40 times throughout the U.S and Europe.
