SATB/SSAA, unaccompanied
Published by J.W. Pepper
The ethereal sounds in this setting of a Ronald W. Cadmus poem lift us to thoughts of eternity and mystery. When quiet breath ceases, and the heart slows, there is eternity. Love never ends. Light forever shines. It is faith that gives us hope and reveals its mystery that through the dark unknown comes the mystery of morn.

Libretto:
Eternal love will never fade
Eternal light forever shine
While moments gently seem to pass away
The soul, undying, in us was made.
Life is short, like twilight skies
Sun moves the dawn, displaces night
Through celestial spaces
shines forever, timeless, bright.
Though dreams seem lost within the dark
Perpetual songs rise on the wings of larks.
When beating heart, slows its pace
And quiet breath leaves not its trace
All things of sweet-ness seem replaced.
But faith, like love is unending
And truth will forsake us never
as it speaks its mystery
to remind the heart
from the night comes the morn
that in each new moment
We are blest,
Life is reborn
And o’er the threshold of our minds
We learn that
Eternity is Forever
